True, Sustainable Design = Revealing Beauty

Posted by Plish on March 14, 2011

Beauty is not caused it is – Emily Dickinson

Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it. -Michelangelo

What if we all acted as if Beauty is?

What if we lived our lives seeking out Beauty in the others, in the world, in our selves – chiseling through the chaos, peeling away the layers and revealing the Beauty that is?

Isn’t that Design?

A beautiful thing never gives so much pain as does failing to hear and see it. – Michelangelo

I agree pain occurs when we fail to see beauty in everything in our lives. Is this not what is happening to us in this world? Is this not what causes disease and crime etc…? It is sad that we have to feel the pain as we are currently doing with all that has been occurring in our world in order to appreciate our own and the world’s beauty.
