I gotta say no writer ever shares an idea on which they are working. The history of literature is replete with stories of authors who didn’t tell their own families what they were writing. They don’t even tell their editors until the piece is done. There is a lot of paranoia among writers that someone is going to steal an idea and get published it first – and perhaps do it better. Did I mention most writers have self-esteem issues? I think it comes from working alone. Working alone is usually very productive, but it can also lead to a lot of weird thought patterns.

Indeed, Jeff! Getting people to share is indeed a challenge. I think it may be that artists have a personal vision they want to reveal, and sharing it robs it of that personal-ness.
Thanks again for stopping by and sharing!
