Are You Doing This to Keep Creativity Flowing?

Posted by Plish on October 25, 2022

Whether you are problem solving or just being creative, it’s essential you take time to make boundaries of time and space so that you can be free of interruption.

It may not always be easy to do, but it is simple to do. Commit to it.

Your creativity is sacred!

Treat it like it is.

One substantial interruption can derail your brain for 25 to 30 minutes before you get back into the groove.

Create space and time for your creativity.

Your creativity deserves it!

You deserve it!

How Not to Optimize Employee Performance

Posted by Plish on October 22, 2022

Of all the reasons to bring people in to work at the office versus remotely, this is one of the the worst reasons I’ve heard.

You shouldnt need to, or want to, look over your team’s shoulders!!

That will not improve creativity or productivity.

If your people need a person watching them in order to perform, you’ve hired poorly.

Be a leader!

Hire people you trust,  give them what they need so that their vision is aligned with the company’s, get them the tools they need,  empower, educate,  and turn your people loose to make magic!

Don’t Always Expect Imaginative Innovations to Inspire

Posted by Plish on October 13, 2022

Stories of imagination can be unsettling.

They force people to make decisions and because they require the imagination, people can feel threatened, unsure.

People want surety, confidence, data, that what they experience isn’t too risky to implement. If they don’t get it…

They pull away.

But they forget-

All great innovations once dwelled only in the imagination.

This Reframe Will Boost Your Creativity

Posted by Plish on October 8, 2022

A great way to hone the creative edge?

Make the familiar, unfamiliar (and vice versa).

When you see things in new ways, you are living with the Beginner’s Mind. You’re checking your ego at the door.

Experimenting.

You’re learning and exploring constantly.

Turn it upside down, get inside the product to change the viewpoint. Take a 3/4 Time Waltz and make it Drum and Bass. Look at an operating room like a kitchen.

None of the imagined changes need to be permanent. But, they all will bring new insights, and even more importantly, change you as a person.

You life will become more rich and you will trust your creative instincts.

That trust gives you the ability to share, to be visible, to stand in your power.

When that happens, the world becomes a better place.
